15 Weeks

The holidays are here!  It’s been a whirlwind of Christmas parties, rushed shopping, hurried baking…it feels like it was just yesterday that it was Thanksgiving!  I just decorated our Christmas tree and addressed the Christmas cards today, here, a week out from Christmas, lol.  I’m probably gonna just leave the tree up until mid-January so I can see it for a little longer 🙂

So, over the past week, things have been good overall.  I am surprised that my morning sickness is not gone, honestly.  Every woman I’ve spoken to said it was gone by 15 weeks…uhhh….so why am I still sick??  I did, however, get a salad down for the first time since I got pregnant!  It’s just so weird that I still can’t stand to smell or think about certain foods.  I haven’t touched meat in months.  I live on peanut butter, cream cheese, and bagels.  And, to make things more complicated…I have to eat every 2 hours on the dot.  I may be stuffed after my cereal, but by 10 AM I am ravenous for a bagel and cream cheese.  And at noon- I want a full lunch.  And by 2, I need another snack, usually yogurt.  By 4PM, I’m absolutely famished for another snack, usually a granola bar.  And between 5 and 6, I need a full dinner.  By 7 PM, I need yet another snack (it’s been good to eat cookies).  And by 9 or 10 PM, I need a bedtime snack.  I am so tired of eating.  I never, ever thought I would say that in my entire life.  It wouldn’t be so tough, except there is a very limited amount of foods I have to choose from that don’t make me sick.  And, here’s the kicker- if I don’t eat within 20 minutes of being hungry, I become very, very, very sick.  Worse than before.  Ugh.  So many rules!!!

All this eating, and I’m still not gaining weight…I’m holding steady at 3 pounds total.  I can’t do anymore than I’m doing, though- I’m eating everything I can, all the time!  I’m betting that soon this sickness will break, and then it will become more steady.  I can’t wait for that day!

Here’s a picture of us at 15 weeks!  I’m getting a little bump, for sure!

Here’s this week’s stats:

Produce of the week:  Baby is the size of an avocado!  (which I cannot stomach, sadly)

food cravings/aversions:  Craving chocolate, nuts, bagels, doughnuts, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, rigatoni.  Averse to virtually everything else; meat, still garlic and onions, veggies.

Looking forward to: Christmas!! 🙂

Nervous about:  flying…with this sickness…

Cute hubby moment:  brought me breakfast in bed 🙂  and he tells me how beautiful my tummy is 🙂

Buddy and Sassy:  probably clueless, but I sometimes wonder if they can hear the baby’s heartbeat the way they cuddle up to my belly all the time!

Since baby can hear music now, it’s time to bring on the Mozart, Beethoven, and Tchaikovsky!!
